JEN DITURNO & CHAD ABRAHAM JUNE 24, 2006 Newlyweds for 640 days! ABOUT JEN I graduated from Nordonia High School in 2000 and then graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in education. After graduation, I moved to Columbus. I am currently a 6th grade special education teacher at Davis Middle School in Dublin. I am also a cheerleading coach at Grizzell Middle School in Dublin.

My favorite color is pink and I collect turtles. I love Dave Matthews Band and vacationing in Martha's Vineyard. Most importantly... I LOVE THE BUCKEYES!

I have a younger brother named Adam who is in the Air Force and is stationed in Arizona. My mom, Kathy and my dad, Ray are my best friends. I am a Daddy's girl.... BIG TIME! I come from a very large family and I am a devoted Catholic. I am VERY outgoing, personable, energetic and adventurous! ABOUT CHAD Chad graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1999 and then graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in education. After graduation, he moved to Columbus. He is currently a 7th grade special education teacher and a wrestling coach at Grizzell Middle School.

Chad's has a brother named Tyler who is in the Navy and is currently stationed in Washington. He also has a younger sister named Elle and a younger brother named Charlie. Chad's parents, Nikki and Mike and his step-father Peter are WONDERFUL! His mom and I have a lot in common and we love to shop, go to the pool, and go to the Vineyard!

Chad loves to golf and play video games, but most importantly... he LOVES college football season! He is a devoted and passionate BUCKEYE!

Chad is VERY conservative, thoughtful, and personable. HOW WE MET Chad and I met in college, of course! He was a year older than me and I had a friend, Megan, who was also older than me. I went to BGSU to visit Megan when I was a senior in high school and I met a lot of her friends. Once I graduated from high school and moved on to college... I met Chad! Megan is the primary reason why and how I met him. We all hung out together and Megan and I even joined a sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. Chad was an Sigma Alpha Epsilon

I was dating a guy from high school at the time and he and I broke up [because of Chad] and went our seperate ways. At the time, Chad's friend, Mike and I started "hanging out" while I secretly had a crush on Chad! Needless to say, Mike and Chad got into it and I was stuck in the middle of a not-so-great situation. Mike eventually got over it and the two of them are still very good friends, but Chad still reminds him that he got the girl! The rest is history! WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED December 12, 2004 HOW IT HAPPENED It was Chad's birthday and we went out to dinner. Earlier in the week, Chad asked me if I wanted to go see the Columbus Zoo lights after dinner and I agreed. I wondered why he wanted to go to the zoo for his birthday....Hmmm....Odd!!! So we went and we were there for seriously 10 minutes! Once we walked out of the turtle/frog exhibit, we walked across this bridge. Chad asked me to stop to, "Look at the pretty lights!" What guy would ever say that!? As I turned around to tease him about what he had just said, he told me to sit down on the bench for a minute. At first I didn't want to because I was cold and I wanted to see the baby elephant, but then I did. No sooner did I sit down when he got down on one knee and said to me, "Jen, it has been a great birthday, but the only thing that could make me happy today is if you'll say that you'll marry me and be my wife!" Then he got out the ring and I started SCREAMING and CRYING hysterically! I was an emotional wreck! He asked me if I still wnated to go see the baby elephant and I said, "No, I want to get the hell out of here and go tell the world that you just made me the happiest girl ever!" So we left and carried on the excitement at his mom's house. I found out later that evening that he went to Cleveland one afternoon (while he told me he was helping his Grandma move) and met with my mom and dad. Northfield, OH ABOUT THE BIG DAY Our wedding will take place at 2:30 at St. Barnabas Church in Northfield, OH. It will be a full Catholic ceremony. We have 20 people in our wedding party! Our colors are bright pink and lime green. Our main flower is a Stargazer Lily. Our wedding will be contemporary.
